How do moving totes work?+
We drop off a stack of heavy-duty, waterproof plastic totes at your door. You pack them like boxes, move them, unpack, and we pick the empty totes back up. No tape, no cardboard, no trash.
Are Tote Goat totes stronger than cardboard boxes?+
Yes. Our totes are made from thick industrial polypropylene, hold up to 60 lb each, and stack four-high without crushing. Cardboard sags, tears, and fails when wet — our totes don't.
Do I need a moving dolly with rented totes?+
Not for the totes themselves — they stack neatly on a standard platform cart, and most moves need just one cart trip per room. If you're moving furniture or appliances, add a hand truck or appliance dolly for the day.
What's the best dolly for moving stacked totes?+
A four-wheel platform cart or a convertible hand truck in cart mode. Both let you roll four stacked totes at once. A standard two-wheel hand truck works too but only moves two totes per trip.
How far in advance should I reserve totes?+
Reserve at least 3–5 days out during normal weeks and 1–2 weeks out around the 1st and 15th of the month, when demand peaks.
How much do moving totes cost to rent?+
Packages start at $99.99 for a Student / Studio move, $119.99 for a 1-Bedroom, and $159.99 for a 2-Bedroom. Delivery and pickup are included.
